Unbelievable! I rented a bike, used the free Wi-Fi, and got my clothes cleaned. The hotel had everything I could ask for, including a roundtrip airport shuttle. So convenient!
Wow, it was such a struggle to figure out how to get into the building. Good luck to anyone else trying!

The location of this hostel is unbeatable. It is centrally located, with most attractions within a short walking distance and easy access to public transportation. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The hostel offers spacious rooms and clean bathrooms. Guests can enjoy the well-stocked kitchen and the free amenities provided, such as shampoo and snacks. The hostel also ensures a safe and secure environment for its guests.
One downside of the hostel is the thin walls and creaky floors, which can cause disturbance from noise inside and outside the rooms.

Friendly and helpful staff, clean room with a comfy bed. Located in the centre, the sights and the baths were just a couple of minutes from it. Absolutely worth the price, I recommend it.

I particularly enjoyed the charming decoration of the hostel, with its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. It had a vintage touch that added to its charm, creating a relaxing environment. The common areas were spacious and well-maintained, making it easy for me to navigate around the hostel as a senior. The accessibility features, such as wide corridors and handrails, were greatly appreciated, ensuring a comfortable stay for older guests like me.
While my stay was wonderful overall, I would suggest that the children working there could provide more assistance to senior guests. It would have been helpful to have some extra support or guidance, especially during check-in and check-out, to make the process smoother.

* The hostel staff is very friendly. The first day, upon arrival, they told us about what to visit in Budapest. And the last day, they phoned for us to book a taxi to go to the airport. They really want to help you. * The hostel is in the centre of the city. * It is very cheap. * The hostel is near a metro station, and not far from a supermarket. Some people commented about noise. I can't comment for the other room, but in our case, we didn't have problem with this. (Our window was on Magyar utca.)

Very nice Hostel staff and very nice location (in the very center of Budapest). We were in Budapest for two days and managed to see all the sights thanks to clear explanations given by Hostel's stuff.

The decoration at Gaia Hostel was absolutely charming, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I especially loved the beautiful vintage furniture and artwork displayed throughout the common areas. As a senior woman, I appreciated the comfortable seating options and the easy accessibility of the hotel. The staff made sure I felt safe and taken care of during my stay.
I would have preferred if the children working there were more knowledgeable about local attractions and activities suitable for senior people.

I love this Hostel very much!!! everything is good, nice, clear and comfortable. The hostel receptionist is very friendly, nice and she told us all about Budapest, a lot of helpfully informations where we should visit, eat or care about. Wifi are free in the floor but not so strong in room but our room near the wifi router so we are have also wifi in room. The room has no air conditioner but there are fan to use. I was there at Juli, outdoor was very hot but in hostel not so hot, with a fan we find it´s ok. The location is perfect, nearly center, metro, tram, and supermarket. only 2-5 mins by walk to everything.
The only minus point is the bathroom. The hostel has 2 apartments near each other and there are 3 bathrooms. Our bathroom is very bad with the hot and cold water. It is always switch between hot and cold water while using. But only one bathroom has this problem. You can use the other bathroom, which is better and has no problem.

The staff were lovely, really eager to help with ideas of places to visit and even happy to call the local spas to make bookings.
As it's just of a major road I did find the traffic noise was quite loud.

This hostel is mind-blowing! The location is super convenient, with cafes, shops, and the underground station nearby. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and the room is exactly like the photos. The host, Judith, is so helpful and pleasant. The place is clean, warm, and has all the amenities you need, like a kitchen and good wifi. Definitely a place I would recommend!
